Carl (Buddy) DeYulis entered the insurance business in 1980 and purchased Ebensburg Insurance Agency from his father in 1994. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a B.A. in Economics, Buddy has earned the insurance designations of Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) and Certified WorkComp Advisor (CWCA). It was through Buddy’s efforts that the Agency became affiliated with Keystone Insurers Group, an organization that has partner locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, and North Carolina. Buddy occupies a position on Keystone’s Board of Directors.
Carolyn M. Zierer, AAI

Carolyn has many years of experience in the insurance industry, and joined Ebensburg Insurance in March of 1998. She has served in many capacities over the years, and is currently responsible for all administrative functions including accounting, facilities, staff supervision, and human resource management. She has attended many insurance and management-related seminars over the years, and achieved the Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

Marsha is a licensed PA agent with 15 years of insurance experience, specializing in personal insurance. Since joining Ebensburg Insurance in March of 2002, she has achieved the insurance industry’s Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.
Marsha is responsible for handling all aspects of service in the personal insurance department, which includes rating, policy changes, and claims. Her attendance at numerous seminars and continuing education classes makes Marsha a strong customer service rep.

Chris Yahner is part of the personal insurance team at Ebensburg Insurance. Chris has a total of 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, and joined the Agency in November of 1990. Her duties include rating, claims, and all aspects of customer sales and service. Chris’ involvement in various seminars, as well as continuing education, certainly qualifies her to perform those duties.
A graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College with an associate degree in accounting, Chris is also a licensed PA insurance agent. She also achieved the insurance industry’s Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.
Garry D. Wurm
Commercial and Personal Insurance Account Executive

Garry joined Ebensburg Insurance in July of 1998, bringing a solid background of public service and community involvement.
Prior to joining the Agency, Garry earned a BS degree in Finance from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and participated in the Sellers Consulting program which concentrated on sales and marketing concepts. He has continue his insurance education through industry publications and company underwriting and marketing contacts. This guarantees that his accounts receive the best coverage at the most equitable price.
Garry is active in his community, and is a member of various organizations.

Carol Myers joined Ebensburg Insurance Agency in 1988, and maintains a large, diversified commercial insurance book of business, leading with contractors and restaurant accounts. Carol's vast knowledge of the insurance industry markets, and close contact with her customers, guarantees that her accounts receive the best coverage at the most equitable price.
Carol initially studied property and casualty insurance at the Commercial Union Insurance School for Agents. She continues her insurance education through industry publications and company underwriting and marketing contacts. Carol attained the designation of Certified Professional Insurance Agent, and, most recently, achieved the prestigious Certified WorkComp Agent designation in 2006.
Carol is active in her community and is a member of the Ebensburg Women's Club and Cambria County Chamber of Commerce.
James M. Miller

Jim Miller joined Ebensburg Insurance Agency in July of 2004, bringing 14 years of insurance background in sales and new business development. While his focus is primarily blasting, excavation, and coal mining accounts, Jim maintains a varied book of business.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Jim also received sales and leadership awards within the insurance industry. He has knowledge of state rules and regulations that are pertinent to the mining industry, quarries, and trucking operations. This knowledge gives him a greater understanding of the insurance needs of his customers.
Jim is a member of various associations, including the National Sand Stone and Gravel Association, the Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association, and the Pennsylvania Coal Association.
Karen L. Ligda, CISR

As a commercial account manager, Karen is responsible for handling the day-to-day activities of her accounts. Karen’s duties include renewals, change requests, and claim handling for approximately 200 commercial accounts. Her many years of employment in the insurance industry, as well as attendance at numerous seminars, certainly qualifies Karen to handle all aspects of customer service.
Karen joined Ebensburg Insurance Agency in 1997, and is a PA licensed insurance agent. She achieved her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2004.
Julie B. Hartline, CISR
Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Julie is a commercial account manager responsible for handling all aspects of customer service. She joined the Agency in April of 2000 with a previous background in customer service/ claim handling. Julie handles approximately 220 accounts, and her customer account knowledge and attention to detail make her very effective in her position.
A licensed PA insurance agent, Julie achieved her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2005.
Deborah J. Peightal

Deb began her career in the insurance industry in 1976 and held various positions on both the insurance company and agency levels. During the course of her career, Deb participated in many insurance industry seminars and programs. Her focus is to provide dedicated customer service to the accounts that she manages. Deb’s insurance expertise certainly qualifies her to perform all of the necessary requirements of that service. She currently manages approximately 84 commercial accounts.
Deb joined Ebensburg Insurance in May of 2005, and is a PA licensed insurance agent.

Nancy is a commercial insurance account manager and assistant to Buddy DeYulis. A graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College with an associate degree in business administration, and a PA insurance license, Nancy also holds many insurance industry designations. Nancy is a dedicated insurance professional, and has earned the designations of Certified Risk Manager, Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Insurance Service Representative, and Certified Professional Insurance Agent. Her skills enable Nancy to effectively manage all aspects of her commercial accounts.
Nancy joined Ebensburg Insurance Agency in 1994, but has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Kimberly R. Hartline
New Business Unit Coordinator – Commercial Insurance

Kim Hartline joined the Agency in August of 2004, with an associate degree from Mount Aloysius College. She obtained her PA insurance license in November of 2004. Kim is the coordinator of all new commercial insurance business that is generated by the producers and other staff members. She has acquired a strong knowledge of insurance company markets, and works with the producers to place the best coverage at the best price.
Kim is currently enrolled in the insurance industry’s Certified Insurance Service Representative program.

Dee began employment with Ebensburg Insurance in October of 2005. She held various positions before joining the Agency, and is currently responsible for all clerical support functions. Dee’s duties include receptionist, file maintenance, and outgoing mail preparation. She also assists with policy data input and certificate issuance.

Kerry D. McCulley

Kerry has been involved in the insurance industry since 1985, during which time he has attended many seminars and conferences relative to his products and services. Prior to joining Ebensburg Insurance in 1999, Kerry held various positions in sales, management, and as an independent agent. He has strong relationships with many insurance companies, and is able to provide individual and group life and health plans to his customers. Kerry also administers several programs for the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs in conjunction with the Agency.
