History
Ebensburg Insurance Agency was started in 1962 by Dino DeYulis, the present owner’s father. At that time, the Agency represented approximately six insurance companies, writing personal insurance with a staff of two. Today the Agency employs a staff of 15 people with an annual premium volume of $17,000,000, consisting of personal and commercial accounts.
Carl (Buddy) DeYulis joined the Agency in 1980 and became a partner in 1990. Mr. DeYulis purchased the Agency from his father in 1994. In 1998, Ebensburg Insurance Agency became an affiliate of Keystone Insurers Group, where Mr. DeYulis holds a position on the Board of Directors. Currently, Keystone is the fifth largest privately-held insurance agency in the country. The Keystone Group has over 91 locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, and North Carolina. Partnership with Keystone allows access to a wide spectrum of insurance carriers writing a broad range of coverage. The total written premium volume of the Keystone Group is $744 million.
